My name is Julia Swaisland. This site has been my passion and focus for over 17 years now! Can't believe it has been that long or that it happened at all.

Just a little about me, my family and how this online store came to be. 

I have lived in this area for over 40 years, first on an Arabian Horse farm in Beeton, and the last 25 years in Bradford with my daughter Brooke. 

I come from a retail family so I suppose this is in my blood. In fact my parents opened the first garden centre north of Toronto over 60 years ago. If you know Markville mall then you know exactly where their Nursery was. 

I started this retail addiction myself when I was 14 and was in it until my daughter was born in 2004. I took a 5 year break to focus on her and when she started school the itch came back. 

That is when the U at Home idea came to mind. I had my physical store for 17 years and we have now pivoted to an online presence. We are always adapting to keep up with the needs of all our wonderful customers here in the greater Bradford area.
